Here's a brief
Tour of the Apartment:
These are some shots of the living room; camera orientation is southwest, then west for the third shot. (Notice the windows in the background that give onto the balcony, which, just like the last apartment, faces more or less south.)

(Pierre--Stèph's dad--made that couch for us for Christmas. Killer job, eh?) The living room, dining room, and kitchen of this apartment are more or less like our last apartment, except that they're mirrored (the kitchen and dining room are on the left rather than the right, if you're facing the balcony). One big perk is that the new living room is a good bit bigger than the old one. So, right behind the couch, we've got a little "office," with the piano and a desk (please ignore the mess, I was working this evening):

The front door to the apartment is behind the wall that the desk faces... There's a little foyer space (which you can kind of see, on the right edge of the photo to the left above, but I forgot to turn a light on so it's dark), with a bookshelf and two closets. Closets are a big luxury around these parts, so I was pretty psyched that we got two. (There were none in the old apartment, although they'd added an armoire in that apt's bedroom).
Unlike the last apartment, this apartment's front door enters from the side, perpendicular to the balcony, rather than parallel to it.
Now, if we kind of turn around, we can see the dining room...

(To help orient you to the angle, the plant leaves in the foreground are the same plant that is next to the piano/behind the couch.)
Now, please follow me to the other side of the dining room table, where you will find an obscure view of our shoebox of a kitchen:

(Sorry about the plant on the dining room table obscuring the view of our quality Hoover refrigerator [which we bought last month... We got tired of living out of a Euro/college fridge]. We now have two fridges. We'd love to cash in the little fridge for a dishwasher, but since it came with the apartment, there's not much to do about it.) Notice the microwave on top of the fridge, testimony to the luxury of both of us being tall. Pierre also made the counter in the midground, the one with all the crap on top and a white plastic collander and bowl on the lower shelf. That counter, as you may recall, was also in our old kitchen, next to the wall.
And if we walk down the hall and take a left, we find ourselves in what will be the baby room (but which is basically empty aside from some odds and ends at this point):

You don't really get a feel for it in these pics, but the room is relatively long and narrow. But not cramped.
To the right of the baby room is our bedroom (The first two shots are taken near the door):

And, from the other side of the room:

(I had to follow Stèph around with the laptop, which the camera was plugged into, to take all these pictures.)
If we take one or two steps to the right, we see right down the hall, along the length of the apartment:

And here are the tenants:

That's all, folks!
